Andersen had a client who needed a new shopping interface tested.
The problem? There was no standard measure for how to measure the
degree of "shopping-ness" two different sites would afford
a customer.
We performed a comparative usability study of both a standard and
a very unique e-commerce shopping interface. Evaluation of this lab
prototype involved the generation of specifically ill-structured scenarios
and the creation of custom metrics for the evaluation of the product
and its ability to mimic consumer shopping behaviors.
