Peter Picone

* Peter is also a Board Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), who maintains an active role in the International Usability Professionals Association (UPA), where he served as a member of the board of directors for 3 years, receiving the presidents award for major contributions to the grown of the usability field.

Peter has also been active in the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer-Human Interaction (SIG-CHI), the Boston Information Architecture Group, and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Association, where he is a past president of the local Boston Chapter.

  

Peter Picone is the principal, the owner and the foundation upon which Half-Tide Designs is built.

Before forming Half-Tide Designs, Inc., Peter was a Senior Staff IT consultant for a $2.7 billion services company, with expertise in the specification, creation and refinement of the user experience through Information Architecture, Interaction Design, and Usability Testing.

His work and study in the field spans 30 years, during which he provided user centered design analysis and support to a variety of products, projects and systems.

His experience spans the full product development lifecycle with emphasis on finding the right services and strategies at the right time, to help both clients and users achieve their respective goals.
